Crisis Help
If you are concerned about your or your loved one’s mental health, a visit to your General Practitioner should be your first port of call. All GPs in Australia have extensive training in treating and identifying mental health issues and would act as your care co-ordinator if you require further referral for treatment. Currently, in Australia, GPs are able to refer you to a clinical psychologist specialising in treatment for your particular presentation.
There are a number of excellent resources and services to assist you. From general information and education, online courses and 24 hour support call-lines for a number of different mental health issues, there is an abundance of excellent resources for you.
