Meditation & Breathwork Sessions
Meditation and breathwork group sessions in Paddington, Sydney with clinical psychologist Dr Maria-Elena Lukeides.
Once a month, a small group gathers at EJ Ward Community Centre in Paddington, Sydney — and for ninety minutes, the pace of ordinary life is set aside.
I built this Sangha deliberately. A Sangha is a community that comes together to find stillness and remember the sacred — and when we gather as a group, there is an almost tenfold increase in the power of our practice. That's not metaphor. That's what happens when people sit together with shared intention.
The practice seamlessly intertwines meditation and breathwork with energetic activation. This is a place where we let the body release — not a place where we try to make it behave.
I've been running this group for a number of years now. It draws on ancient contemplative traditions and contemporary psychology in equal measure — not one at the expense of the other. Both, held together, in the same room.
The practices change each month. The intention doesn't.
No prior meditation experience is required. No particular belief system. Just a willingness to arrive, to slow down, and to spend some time in the company of your own inner life.
A place to practise. A place to land.

Breathwork, pranayama and practices of focused stillness have been at the core of advanced spiritual and contemplative practices as far back as deep antiquity. We know the ancient Egyptians taught practices such as breath, stillness, and going inward for deep release and connection to the divine. The Ancient Greeks adopted these Ancient Egyptian teachings and we also see similar practices passed down through Indian Vedic teachings and later Buddhist teachings.
Fast forward to our current times and practices such as breathwork, meditation, stillness and somatic release are finding space as cornerstones of optimal psychological health, healing and physical health.
We meet on the last Saturday of each month (Feb - Nov).
We begin with a Dhamma talk - a discussion around a spiritual teaching to help you shift mindsets and connect with truth. You will then be guided on a breathwork and meditative journey to the background to a vibrant soundtrack designed to help you go within in deep layers and assist you to become completely immersed in apricesed that can hep you restore and let go of stress, pain adn provide insights and clarity.
